Questions? Please contact Emily Rupp Buccola, Event Chair or Bill Slechta, Past President.

All teachers sponsoring student performers must be members of ASTA. We expect that the majority of the sponsoring teachers will be studio teachers, but school string teachers and orchestra directors are also invited to sponsor students. We encourage teachers to attend if they have students performing, but for this year’s event, we will not require it.

All pieces should be performed with an accompaniment where appropriate (unaccompanied works such as the Bach Unaccompanied Cello Suites would not require an accompaniment). The accompaniment could be the teacher playing a duet part or a piano accompanist (or some other appropriate option).

Due to time limitations, we reserve the right to limit the number of student performers (and close the online registration early) if we have more participants than expected.

Please contact Emily Rupp Buccola, Event Chair or Bill Slechta, Past President if you would like to volunteer to assist with this event, if you have questions, or if you need additional information about this year’s event.

Please contact Bill Slechta if you are interested in trying to host a Student Recital in the future, as we would be happy to try to hold Student Recitals in additional locations in future years.

NC-ASTA Student Recitals: These events are for students of NC-ASTA members to perform in joint recitals.  They are geared for students of studio teachers with smaller numbers, although it is open to students of all NC-ASTA members.

We are looking for members who would like to host an event.
